The Morro Jable Lighthouse was built in 1996 and stands 60 metres tall.
From Morro Jable, drive south to the very tip of southern Fuerteventura. The road from Morro Jable starts ok but for the last 19km the road is unpaved and would not be easy to drive in rain or bad weather.
The road wends its way around the mountain and finishes at Puerto de la Cruz where there is a lighthouse. The island is only a few hundred metres wide at this point so you have the ocean on both sides of you.
