Corralejo has a large port and marina from where you can take many different boat trips. We took a boat trip to the small volcanic island. The Isla de Lobos is a national park and protected area. The boat takes about 15 minutes to get there and a return ticket costs 15 euros per person [Nov 2015]. Some of the boats have glass bottom viewing.
We think that if you want to get value for money with this trip then you need to plan well in advance. Wear proper footwear and be prepared for a very long walk. Much of the island is out of bounds but there is a nice but very small fishing area. There are set pathways around the island including one to the lighthouse. It will take you around an hour to walk to the lighthouse. The restaurant on the island is around where the boat docks. We found it to be a scruffy and totally inadequate facility.
Our honest opinion on this trip
Hardly worth the money. We don't feel the authorities have put too much thought into this attraction, probably as they need to preserve the area. Definately not a trip for children and certainly not in the hottest times.
Below are 4 photographs taken on the island
Corralejo is also the place to catch the ferry to Lanzarote.
