Leaving Fuerteventura
On arrival at the airport, make the short walk to the bag drop areas. As you enter the main doors, the screens show which desk number you need to go to, depending on your airline. Drop off your bags and check in then you can go through the security checks and into the departure lounge. Here you can shop or enjoy a drink and something to eat. Wait for your boarding gate number to appear on the display then proceed to the gate.
Security at Fuerteventura airport
Remember that you cannot take any liquids through the security screening so do not have your duty free spirits in your hand luggage or you will lose them. Either put them in your suitcases or purchase them after the security screening.
We found that the security screening at Fuerteventura was very good [Nov 2015]. There were plenty staff and they seemed to be very efficient. We felt very confident travelling through this aiport.
