Finding hotels in Spain
With the current situation, with the economy less than positive for some people, it is becoming harder and harder to be able to find a way to afford that all important holiday abroad. Every year it seems to get harder, and with pay rises infrequent, unemployment high, flight and fuel costs high and inflation gathering pace all the time, it is not hard to see why so many people are struggling. That being said, there are ways and means if you really are determined to get away this year.
A great way to make your holiday happen is to look at things a little out of season. With the weather so drab and dreary here in the UK for the most part, it can be difficult at times to remember that some of the other countries here in Europe enjoy fantastic climates with weather that is pleasant to be in almost throughout the year. If it is not difficult for you to take time off work at any time of year, then it is a great idea to look into the climates of some of the more southern countries in Europe out of the normal summer holiday season.
A good example is Spain. You obviously have to think carefully about which part of the country you visit, because some of the northern parts of the country, although much warmer than Britain, will still be relatively cold in the winter time. Visit the south coast though, and you are in for a treat no matter what time of year. You can expect highs of up to twenty degrees Celsius even in January and February, and the months of March and April can be positively baking in comparison to Britain!
The real bonus here though is that Spain is actually affordable throughout the year, and even in the summer months if you pick your resort and hotel carefully. In the winter time, the savings can be incredible. Spain has always been a cheap country to visit for many reasons, and despite the fact that they have joined up with the Euro, it is still cheap to buy most goods in Spain. The economy is so different to Britain, and you will find that an evening out or a meal, and cigarettes and alcohol are far cheaper there than they are here. If you are planning on hiring a car you will also notice a huge difference in the cost of fuel too.
Importantly, you will also find plenty of affordable Hotels in Spain no matter what time of year you travel. This is in part down to the difficulty with the economy in Britain, because it means that less people are able to travel. Naturally this leads to a lowering of prices in Spain, which you can of course take advantage of if you think you can collect together enough coins to get you over there! |
