Ubrique is just one of the small, white villages within Andalucia. Ubrique has a long and interesting history and a great number of attractions for the visitor. It is within the Cadiz province and has over 17,000 inhabitants.
Ubrique is located between the mountain ranges in the north and the Campo de Gibraltar. Parts of the village belong to the Los Alcornocales National Park.
Most of the town dates to the Christian re-conquest although there used to be a town here in Roman times.
The biggest industry in Ubrique is leather and there are numerous factories and outlets here.
