Express postal services
You can purchase prepaid express envelopes at the post office in Spain. The price depends on the weight limits. Example; 350g - 6 euros each, 1kg - 7.50 euros each. Ask for 'Sobre Prepagado, postal express'. Delivery is 24hrs for provincial capitals and 48hrs for the rest of Spain.
Fax service
The Spanish post office offers a fax service for important documents. 'Burofax' is available in any Spanish post office.
Using the post office in Spain
Many of the larger post offices in Spain use a ticket number system. You need to take a ticket from the machine when you enter and wait for your number to appear on the screen.
National delivery
Large parcels can be sent to inland Spain and Andorra by registered post. If delivery fails, a second attempt is made free of charge. Cash on delivery can be arranged.
International delivery
Up to 20kg can be sent anywhere in the world. The recipient signs on delivery. A compensation scheme can be in place.
Money transactions
Money can be transferred worldwide.
