The Costa del Sol has always been a popular place
for foreigners to buy property and some make it
their retirement home.
A few years ago the property boom was at its
greatest on the Costa del Sol and new properties
were being constructed at an alarming rate. Most
of the new properties were selling fast.
There is no doubt that whilst most of Europe is
in recession, the Costa del Sol has also suffered.
House building has certainly slowed down and there
is a surplus of properties to be sold.
This slow down has made it a buyers market with
some real bargains to be had on Costa del Sol
properties.
The associated mortgage market has also slowed
however, banks are beginning to lend money again
and it is only a matter of time before the
property market on the Costa del Sol picks up.
Some of the most popular resorts are;
Benalmadena - Fuengirola - Torremolinos - Marbella - Mijas - Nerja
The Costa del Sol is also a good place to live if
you plan to work in Spain. There are many job opportunities or you could buy a bar in Spain.
The Costa del Sol, despite
financial problems is still a wonderful place to
buy a property either as a holiday home or to
retire. |
