With a capcity for just 24 guests, this hotel takes individual attention to the absolute limit. The hotel Son Siurana is based around a large finca, originally built in 1784 and totally reformed a few years ago. The hotel is located on the main road from Palma to Inca and Alcudia and is a fine example of Mallorcan rural tourism. Puerto de Pollensa is just 8km away. |

The hotel is set in around 100 hectares of land, lined with almond, fig and orange trees. Sheep roam free on the estate. Despite the antiquity of the building, don't be fooled. This hotel offers all the modern conveniences that a top hotel should offer, and more.
The swimming pool is set at the front of the main house and has extensive areas for sunbathing. The views over the mountains and to the sea are truly breath-taking. There are pastures all around, with small lakes and rows of almond and orange trees, from which you are encouraged to pick fruit.
At the rear of the house is a bar-b-q area, terraces and a vegetable garden, from which you can pick your own fresh produce. You almost treat the house like it were your own. |

The accommodation at the Son Siurana Hotel consists of newly built cottages, in true Mallorcan style, spread around the outside of the main house. Each cottage has its own terrace and garden area. The cottages are well furnished and equipped with everything you need. They have heating, air conditioning, satellite television and a kitchen. The kitchen has a microwave and music system.
The rooms really are comfortable. The bathrooms are well equipped and have baths and showers.
Breakfast is taken in the main house and on the terrace in the summer. Within the main house is a large lounge, furnished with period furniture. There's a stack of tourist information at your disposal. The owners are also happy to help with local information, make bookings for excursions and make restaurant reservations. |

This new form of rural tourism in Mallorca, known as 'Agro Tourism' is very different to apartments and hotels on the sea front. Life here is so peaceful, you might just forget to go home and the beach is just down the road if you want it. Idealspain visited this hotel in January 2003 and found it to be everything we expected... and more. This is a family business and they all work hard to ensure guests are made to feel welcome. The cottages are more than adequate, very comfortable and perfectly located. The local environment is perfect in every way. If you like walking or cycling then this hotel would make the perfect base from which to explore. Highly recommended by idealspain.
