| The village itself is a quaint gathering of rustic cottages and town houses, all constructed in the local stone which give them a honey-coloured glow. The streets are steep and cobbled with narrow paths along their edges. Many have steps in the centre, designed to help the mules ascend with their heavy loads. Many of the houses still have a Moorish look to them, especially in the narrowest lanes. The doorsteps are all adorned with potted plants. As you enter the village there is a car park which is best used; then explore the village on foot. In the centre of the village you will find a beautiful square (Placa España), overlooked by the church and surrounded by restaurants and street cafes. There is also a supermarket here that supplies townsfolk with most things. | |
