Idealspain visited the museum in October 2010.
It's a lovely little museum that can be seen in an hour or so. There are some very interesting old items and they are well displayed. The use of dummies illustrates how the staff would have looked in the 50's.
The receptionist speaks a little English and you get a printed guide on arrival to point out where to go.
There's currently a display of the layout for the new airport, alongside a model of the 1950's airport.
Well worth a visit if you are in the area.
Oh and when you go up the control tower, look out for Simon Cowell's plane on the apron of the private airport, (among other celeb planes). |
