Festivities in Spain - The International Feria de los Pueblos, Fuengirola(Costa del Sol)
Each year, around the 1st May, Fuengirola on the Costa del Sol hosts one of the most important and diverse ferias in the whole of Spain. The Internacional Feria de los Pueblos is a colourful event where representatives from more than 35 countries converge on the town and display their culture. |

| The feria occupies the large feria ground in Fuengirola and lasts 3 days. The casitas on the feria ground are given over to the different countries. Between 10am and 4am each country provides food and drink, typical of that country. |

The celebrations are accompanied by a fun fair and on the Saturday there is a large parade around the feria ground. Each country, dressed in national costume provides music and dance.
The event attracts over 900,000 visitors to the town and the hotels are at 100% occupancy. |
