Mojacar
is situated on the south-east coast of Spain, about 50 minutes drive from
Almeria Airport.
Mojacar can be divided into two; the old Moorish village and the beach area.
The old
village nestles in the mountain just a couple of kilometres from the beautiful
beaches and the Mediterranean Sea. From a distance it looks like a pile of sugar cubes, clinging to the hillside. The best views can be had early morning (sun behind) and late afternoon, when the sun is setting inland. With on average, 3000 hours of sunshine
per year, hot summers and warm winters, Mojacar's climate is most agreeable. |

When you visit Mojacar village, there's a steep drive to the top. You will find a shortage of parking during the summer and you are not allowed to park in the main square. Once you get to the main square, you find a wide selection of bars and restaurants. The pizza restaurant 'Pulcinella' on your left has the best terrace overlooking the square. |

of Mojacar are one of the major attractions of the area and there are almost 17km
of them to explore. Long, clean beaches combine with tiny coves.
The new
Paseo Maritimo is a tribute to the quality of the main beach. The port is still a working fishing port and there's a good sized marina.
There are a few beach bars and water sports are popular. There's great sea fishing off the rocks.
