| Located
on the outskirts of a tiny village called Esporles,
is one of the best excursion destinations in Mallorca,
visited by thousands of coaches throughout the year.
La Granja is a mansion that dates as far back as the
10th century. It covers 3,000 square metres and is surrounded
by 20,000 square metres of unique gardens and hectares
of pine clad mountains. |

| There
is a set route around the mansion, simply following
the arrows. Each step will take you to a different room,
set out as it was centuries ago. There are millions
of exhibits from old farm implements to furniture, toys
and much more. Tickets to La Granja are approx. 7.5
euros per person, payable at the entrance. There is
a restaurant, cafe and good, clean toilets. Make sure
that as you enter the restaurant you taste all the local
foods and wines free of charge. Idealspain visited La
Granja in January 2003 and found it to be very interesting,
enjoyable and excellent value for money; a rare combination
with tourist attractions nowadays. |
