One
of the finest rural hotels that Mallorca has to offer.
This 700 year old house was reviewed by idealspain in
October 2003. Here are our comments;
The
hotel is located in one of the quietest locations on
the island. Nestled within a deep valley, close to Orient
and Alaró, some of the building is the former
monastery. |

The
hotel offers all the modern comforts of a quality hotel
yet all the charms and features of the historical building
have been preserved. There are rooms within the main
building and some newer rooms in a separate building.
The
hotel has a wonderful restaurant that boasts a top Swedish
chef - take our word for it - YOU MUST eat in the restaurant
at least once ! The food is of the highest standards
and the presentation and setting are unbeatable. |
The
hotel offers luxurious lounges, reading rooms, a bar
and a games room. Much of the furniture has been in
the house for centuries.
The
hotel also offers a heated outdoor swimming pool with
sunbeds, extensive gardens, several terraces, ample
car parking and the oportunity to undertake many walks
through the local countryside. There are also private
tennis courts and sauna for guests. |

hotel will provide you with a very interesting guide
book to the hotel which explains all the historic features.
Using this guide you can then explore the grounds and
the various rooms. |

The
rooms are of a very high standard, extremely comfortable
and although furnished in antique style, they have all
the modern facilities you would expect. Minibar, satellite
TV, safe and telephone. Well equipped bathrooms and private
terraces. |

Our
opinion;
A unique setting within the open countryside ensures a
good nights sleep and an undisturbed stay. The multi-lingual
staff are well trained to make your stay both comfortable
and enjoyable. With a restaurant such as this one built
in to the hotel, there is no need to eat out. Highly recommended
by idealspain. Our only regret is that we couldn't stay
longer. |
