Places in Spain - El Burgo, Andalucia

El Burgo is a small village in Andalucia. It is on the A366 between Ronda and Yunquera. The surrounding countryside consists mainly of olive trees with the backdrop of the Serrania de Ronda mountain range.

El Burgo Castle

Alongside the A366 you will see the remians of castle that overlooks the town. The white houses cling to the hillside.

The Rio Turon runs through El Burgo but in the summer, the river is just a trickle of water. In the winter the river swells and runs as white water over the rocks. It has also been known to flood surrounding land.
