Located just 6km
from
Marbella
within
Andalucia,
a favourit resort along the Costa del Sol
for international
celebrities and known as a 'millionnaires playground'. As
you wander along
the waterfront at
Muelle Rivera, you
will be confronted
with a wide array
of expensive bars,
restaurants and
designer shops.
Expect to pay
celebrity prices
as you rub
shoulders with
international film
stars. There is not a
designer name that
you can't find in
Puerto Banus among
its many expensive
shops. If its in
fashion - you'll
find it here. |

The marina is
always filled with the
most expensive of
vessels from all
over the world.
Its a favourite
stop for Royalty
of all
nationalities. It
is quite easy on a
pleasant evening
to spend several
hours wandering up
and down the
marina pontoons,
then sit in one of
the many bars,
watching the world
of high-life
strolling past
you. The biggest
boats are at the
south end of the
port.
Puerto Banus has a
great deal to
offer the ardent
shopper and one
port of call has
to be the
department store,
el Corte Ingles,
located in the
centre. |

The beach is at
the north of the
town and is called
Playa Levante. It
is long and wide
and very clean.
There are all the
usual facilities.
The nightlife in
Puerto Banus is
also as well known
as its celebrity
status. There are
ample clubs and
pubs and after
midnight,
especially in the
summer months, the
whole place rocks
'till daybreak'
but expect to pay
for it. Hotels of
all grades are
plentiful but you
will find it
cheaper to stay at
a nearby resort
and travel to see
Puerto Banus.
You will arrive at
Puerto Banus along
the main N340
highway from
Marbella
to
San Pedro.
If you drive into
Puerto Banus, you
may be lucky to
find on-street
parking but it is
easier and safer
to use the
multi-storey near
El Corte Ingles or
one of the other
central parks. You
can't take your
car along the port
without a special
and very expensive
port access card.
The market is on a
Saturday, near the
bullring in the
old part of town.
See full details
here.
It is very much
based around the
antique business
and prices are
very high. |

The property
market in both
Puerto Banus and
Marbella is one of
the most buoyant
of the whole of
the Costa del Sol.
Prices have soared
over recent years
and villas of huge
proportions are
springing up in
the surrounding
areas.
In the centre of
Puerto Banus you
will find a huge
marble square,
close to el Corte
Ingles department
store (one of a
large chain in
Spain). Here you
can enjoy the sun
and a drink in the
outside bar,
surrounded by
fountains |
