Our impressions of Terra Natura

The first thing that you will notice about Terra Natura is that it is not a zoo. It's an animal park. The environments in which the animals are kept are as near to their homeland as possible. The animals appear to be very well cared for, very healthy and altogether happy.

Terra Natura
The other advantage of the design of the park is that you can get amazingly close to the animals, allbeit some are behind glass.
Terra Natura

As you make you way round Terra Natura you will begin to appreciate the sheer size of the park. It's huge and a good trip will last you the best part of the day. Each themed area is well designed, with reproduction architecture to match the style. There are places to eat and drink, again designed to match the theme. Travelling between the themed areas is easy, with good footpaths and a painted arrow system to guide you on the best route.

Terra Natura
Idealspain visited Terra Natura before the park opened to the public and the staff were busy making the final preparations for opening.
